C O N D I T I O N S

  • All items remain property of HYRE EVENTS

  • Payment of a Deposit results in the customer agreeing to our T&C's listed below.

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your selected items for your event date. Full Invoice Payment is due 30 days prior to the event date. No items are reserved until the deposit has been received

  • Accepted methods of Payments are Direct Deposit, Cash or Credit Cards (Surcharges Apply).

  • Last minute bookings (within 30 days of event date) will require immediate payment in full to secure the date.

  • HYRE EVENTS reserves the right to request a security bond for hired item/s. and the bond amount will be determined by the item/s hired. Security bonds or part thereof are refundable upon return of the items in the condition in which they were hired. HYRE EVENTS will check item conditions before and after each hire. The security bond or part thereof will be refunded to the nominated account within 7 business days of the event, unless damage, loss or breakage occurs.

  • The Hirer is responsible for the hired items from the time of delivery or Hirer pick up until retrieval by HYRE EVENTS or return by Hirer. Hirer and shall pay all equipment damage or loss however caused during that period. The Hirer agrees to pay for all damaged, lost, stolen or broken items.

  • The Hirer shall ensure safe storage and protection and security of the items during the period of hire, including but not limited to protection from the elements, pets and animals. Our furniture items are not waterproof and under no circumstances can it be left outdoors in the rain. Any damage caused by wet weather will render the client liable for charges to repair or replace items. 

  • Cancellation Policy – We do understand that sometimes the unexpected happens but please note the 50% deposit is non-refundable in all situations. In the event that your event is cancelled due to inclement weather, we do not offer refunds. If your event is outdoors we recommend that you have a backup plan to hold your event indoors or undercover. We will happily deliver and set up to an alternative venue within 10 km.

  • It is the Hirers responsibility to ensure all furniture is cleared of any items before our collection team arrives on site (i.e plates, glasses, food, flowers, cutlery etc). Failure to do so will result in an additional labour fee.

  • All candles being placed on tables must be placed within contained vessels. Any wax residue left on tables or furniture must be removed prior to our collection. Failure to do so will result in an additional labour fee.

  • DIY Hire - DIY may include the hire of items for up to four (4) days. Return of the items are to be no later than 2 days post event date and late returns of item will incur a 50% hire fee.

  • Delivery, retrieval, set up and styling fees are in addition to item hire fees. Delivery of all furniture is at ground level only. Extra charges on top of the usual delivery charge apply where the delivery of the furniture is more complex including long distances. Extra charges also apply for stairs, steep descents and going up levels in buildings. The hirer is responsible for advising via email if the delivery has any of these conditions. Failure to do so will result in extra charges. The Hirer is responsible for providing safe access to locations.

  • Site access permits, regulatory fees and charges are the responsibility of the Hirer.

  • The Hirer may remove or exchange hired items up to 30 days prior to the event date however the order total must not decrease by more than 10% and any exchanges are subject to item availability.

  • Additions can be made up until 3 days prior to the event date however delivery fees may require review and rise due to the increased labour and vehicle requirements as a result of the additions.

  • If you are a business on hiring our items, HYRE EVENTS requests acknowledgment in any social media, editorials, promotional material, magazine content and photographic images in which our items were in use.

  • COVID19 - If the event if no longer proceeding due to a Government ban on social gatherings, we cannot offer a refund under the Australian Consumer Law whose terms are dictated by HYRE EVENTS Terms and Conditions. Please visit NSW Fair Trading website for further details. We are working closely with all of our clients to reschedule their events and rolling over any money paid to the new event date. Please note items are subject to availability so we advise you to re-book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

  • COVID19 - If your event is postponed due to a ban being in place then we will not charge a ‘Change of Date’ fee. If you decide to change your event date for any other reason then a ‘Change of Date’ fee will apply which is $550 incl GST.

  • COVID19 - If your event is postponed and it will no longer take place in the same year, fees may change if there has been a pricing increase for our products and services.

  • COVID19 - Hirer may make changes to their booking but these changes must not decrease the overall furniture hire spend by more than 10% of the original total spend.
